What is a Diploma of International Hotel Management?

A Diploma of International Hotel Management gives you the foundation for a career in the global accommodation industry. You’ll combine classroom learning with applied training and gain hands-on experience with leading hospitality organisations. Across eight core subjects, you’ll explore hospitality operations, food and beverage, accommodation and guest experience.

Delivered at our Leura (Blue Mountains) and Surry Hills campuses, with your first trimester (12 weeks) completed at Leura, and the remainder of your studies at Surry Hills, the diploma equips you with the skills to step into entry-level roles or continue to further study in Hotel Management. You’ll also complete 360 hours of paid industry placement, giving you valuable workplace experience.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Before you begin your course application as an international student, check you meet all the requirements listed below

  • Australian Year 12 or equivalent AND be 18 years of age by the start of the first trimester;
  • Academic IELTS 6.0 with no skills band less than 5.5.

OR alternative entry requirements may be available. Alternative entry may include assessment and approval of prior study, or successful completion of a readiness assessment.
