Graduates may be employed as BIM Specialists, BIM Managers, BIM Project Managers, BIM coordinators, Project Model Managers, BIM Process Leaders, Virtual Design and Construction Managers, Construction Information Managers, Lifecycle Information Managers, BIM Project Leads, or BIM Consultants, dependent upon previous background and experience in industry.

If your program was less than 8 months

•    You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

•    You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

• must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Program Eligibility

• Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma or Degree or equivalent in a related building construction industry; OR
• A diploma (in a non-related building construction field) with 3 years of working experience in the Building Construction industry. These applicants will be assessed individually and will be required to complete an Eligibility Package.
• Applicants with international transcripts must provide proof of the subject-specific requirements noted above and may be required to provide proof of language proficiency. Domestic applicants with international transcripts must be evaluated through the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) or World Education Services (WES).
• IELTS-International English Language Testing Service (Academic) Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 90, with the minimum in each component: Reading 22; Listening 22; Speaking 22; Writing 24.
• Applicants with international transcripts must provide proof of the subject-specific requirements noted above and may be required to provide proof of language proficiency.

Bangladesh

Bachelor’s degree placed in the First or Second Division/Class and university transcripts.

English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:

•  A minimum TOEFL score of 88 (internet-based with no single test score below 21)
•  Or an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no single test score below 6.0)
•  Or CAEL with an overall band score of 70

For India

Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 55% or higher and university transcripts, with 6 or fewer retakes for a 3-year bachelor, and 8 or fewer retakes for a 4+ year bachelor. There can be no more than 3 retakes for any one subject.

Diploma or Provisional Certificate for proof of graduation

English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:

• Academic IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no single test score below 6.0)

For Nepal

Degree or college diploma and transcripts (depending on the program of interest)

English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:

•  A minimum TOEFL score of 88 (internet-based with no single test score below 21)
•  Or an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no single test score below 6.0)
•  Or CAEL with an overall band score of 70.

For Sri Lanka
