The Business Analytics major will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to participate in and, indeed, lead the revolution.

Learn how analytics is applied to all areas of business from improving business decision-making and organisational processes to strategy-making.

The courses in this major cover the powerful tools used by business analysts and data scientists, including:

  • data visualisation
  • predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • machine learning and deep learning.

You'll also look at case studies from across the applied business disciplines, including accounting, finance, human resource management and marketing.

St Lucia

Situated on 114 hectares of Brisbane River-bound land, UQ’s main campus is a vibrant mix of majestic sandstone buildings and contemporary architecture, landscaped gardens and lakes. Fanning out from the heritage-listed Great Court, you’ll find modern teaching and research facilities, including laboratories, lecture theatres, and Queensland’s largest research library. PSW Opportunity

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • All international applicants need to have successfully completed Queensland Year 12 (or an equivalent qualification) and meet the minimum entry score for this program.

Prerequisites
Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent):

  • General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C);
  • Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C);
  • and one of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).
  • From Semester 1, 2028, Earth and Environmental Science will no longer be accepted.
