Theatre and Performance Studies B.A
In CSUCI’s Theatre and Performance Studies program, you’ll combine studio-based courses with history, theory, education, and theatre- and performance- making to gain valuable, hands-on exposure to the various settings, challenges, populations, trends, and opportunities in theatre and theatre-adjacent careers. You’ll form lasting connections with a cohort of diverse learners and community partners affiliated with CSU Channel Islands, building on your strengths and developing new skills that will make a positive difference in your life and the lives of those around you. CI’s theatre faculty have experience in various fields of performance including commercial work, regional theatre, musical theatre, theatre administration, performance studies, and theatre education.
The Theatre and Performance Studies degree culminates in a community-engaged capstone project designed by you, the student, with the support of faculty and local professionals, to help launch you into a world of opportunities for theatre and theatre-adjacent careers in the 21st century.

California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) is a public university located in Ventura County, California. CSUCI opened in 2002 as the 23rd campus in the California State University system and is located midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles and 25 miles north from Malibu. PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale on high school coursework for years 10, 11 and 12.
Freshmen Students are required to live in campus housing during their first year.
