Bachelor of Science

It provides high-quality studies in a wide range of science and technology disciplines. Students take introductory science and mathematics units and select two majors relevant to their interests and aspirations.

Four course-level electives allow flexibility, the capacity to undertake overseas study or to enroll in specific humanities units that contribute to the eligibility for entry to a postgraduate teacher education course.

Students studying on the South West (Bunbury) campus undertake a specified set of core units and both the Conservation Biology and Environmental Management majors. Units undertaken on the South West (Bunbury) campus will be delivered as a series of lectures or laboratory intensives, supported by technology-enhanced learning and digital content.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Academic Admission requirements (Band 3)

All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements (Band 3) for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published (where applicable) or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • AQF Cert IV;
  • Successfully completed 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent);
  • Special Tertiary Admissions Test;
  • University Preparation Course;
  • Indigenous University Orientation Course;
  • Aboriginal Student Intake Test; or
  • Experience Based Entry Scheme.

English Language requirements (Band 3)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through the completion of one of the following (Band 3):

  • Year 12 English ATAR/English Literature ATAR grade C or better or equivalent; Special Tertiary Admissions Test;
  • IELTS Academic Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0);
  • Successfully completed 1.0 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher in the UK, Ireland, USA, NZ or Canada;

  • Aboriginal Student Intake Test;
  • AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree;
