The Master of Ministry gives religious practitioners and other church leaders the opportunity to upgrade their knowledge and skills. We offer a broad range of learning opportunities to students who wish to explore their faith and beliefs, as well as those of other cultures.

You'll complete core subjects in the foundations of church ministry and guided research in ministry. You can then choose where your degree will take you. We offer research strands in ministry, pastoral counselling, institutional chaplaincy, mission and leadership, and religious and values education.

PSW Opportunity

Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane: 

Regular 2 years post study work visa for international students completing Bachelors and Masters degrees (minimum 92 weeks), 3 years for Masters by Research and 4 years for PhD. graduates 

Other Locations (Regional centres and other regional areas):

International students studying at regional universities will be eligible to access an additional
2 years in Australia on a post-study work visa
(Which means a Bachelors or Masters graduate can get up to 4 years of PSW visa) 

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • Have an undergraduate degree in Theology from a recognised Australian university or equivalent; or hold the Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies with a Credit average or higher; AND
  • Have at least two years (or equivalent) full-time professional experience in ministry
    OR
  • Have completed a Charles Sturt University Graduate Certificate in Ministry or equivalent with a Credit average or higher.
