Occupational Therapy Doctorate, OTD
Belmont OTD has a long history of success as a program. We are fully accredited through ACOTE and our NBCOT pass rate is consistently high. The OTD program is part of a dynamic interprofessional college of health sciences providing many opportunities for collaboration.
You will engage with a robust faculty team who represent various practice areas and specialties. Several faculty hold advanced certifications in pediatrics, seating and mobility, aging in place and assistive technology. Explore emerging practice areas such as pelvic floor health and primary care.
While studying at Belmont you will engage in service to the community with your faculty and peers. International service opportunities are also offered through immersive mission trips and Level II fieldwork.
Enhance your leadership skills through active participation in our student organizations, BSOTA and COTAD. Both organizations advocate for the profession and those we serve while honoring diversity, equity and inclusion.

Job Opportunity Potential
The Jack C. Massey Career Development Center provides access to assessments and internships and assists students with career exploration. The Massey College of Business has a strong relationship with the business community in Nashville and beyond. Our students benefit from many opportunities to explore career paths and gain experience in the real world of business through internships. During the course of an academic year, more than 100 students from the Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University participate in internships for course credit.
Handshake is a comprehensive career management software program which allows you to access online job listings; upload a resume; participate in campus recruiting; and connect with employers. You must be registered with this system and have an approved resume uploaded to apply for jobs through the system. The CDC frequently sends job alerts via email to targeted candidates based on the profile information you provide.

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.
