MA/MBA Dual Degree
The MA/MBA dual degree is an intensive program that requires 96 credits over six semesters. This dual degree combines the analytical skills students need to understand the global economy with challenging, broadly applicable business coursework designed to develop leadership skills through a global lens.
Students who enroll in the dual degree when admitted to the business school or during their first program are able to complete both degrees with a combined 96 credits, instead of the 128 credits required to earn each degree independently. Transfer credits may not be applied toward the required 96 credits needed for the degrees. Students must meet admissions requirements of both programs to be admitted to the dual degree program and complete the requirements of both programs to earn both degrees.
MA/MBA students are able to complete one concentration in the MA degree and up to two concentrations in the MBA degree, depending on course selection.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. or accredited international institution. Accelerated MA applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in business or economics from a U.S. college or university.
- Three-year degrees that are equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree will be considered for admission.
- Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended are required. Degree audits will not be accepted in lieu of unofficial transcripts. Transcripts must be provided in English. If you have graduated from a program, and your transcript does not verify your graduation, please submit a copy of your degree certificate with your unofficial transcript(s). Official transcripts are required from each institution only if you accept an offer of admission.
- Resume and Experience
A current resume detailing educational and employment history is required. Our specialized master's programs do not require work experience. Typically, our MBA applicants have at least two years of full-time work experience.
We also require a detailed employment history as part of the online application so that we may fully understand your previous and current roles and assess your career progression. Candidates with little or no full-time work experience should include internships in the employment history section of the online application. - GMAT or GRE Score
GMAT/GRE is optional for the Fall 2025 term.
Candidates who have scored in the 80th percentile or higher are encouraged to submit their test scores to support their application. Those without a quantitative background or who feel their undergraduate performance does not fully reflect their potential may consider taking the GRE or GMAT to strengthen their candidacy.
If you choose to submit a GMAT or GRE score, an unofficial test score should be submitted as part of the online application. Official test scores are required only if you accept an offer of admission. GMAT and GRE scores are valid for up to five years. Test scores must be valid at the time the application is submitted. If your test score will expire prior to the start of the program, you must submit your official test score prior to its expiration date. - The International Business School GMAT code for this program is 3FD-QK-07. The school's GRE code is 3122.
