Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity
The growing number of cyberattacks on national and organizational information technology infrastructures highlights the rapidly rising demand for professionally trained experts in cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity graduate certificate provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the field of cybersecurity or to advance as a professional by expanding your skills in cybersecurity.
The goal of the certificate program is to develop high-level technical and management knowledge and skills needed to protect cyberinfrastructure and information assets. Upon completion of this certificate, graduates will be able to:
Assess and analyze software, hardware, and firmware vulnerabilities and implement appropriate prevention and mitigation measures.
Apply cybersecurity risk management methodologies, policies, and frameworks to defend information systems and assets.
Assess the human, legal, privacy, ethical, and governance aspects related to protecting critical cyberinfrastructure.
The 12-credit graduate certificate is designed as a standalone stackable credential. Credits can also be applied to the 30-credit M.S. in Cybersecurity, or taken as electives within the 30-credit M.S. in Data Analytics.
