MS in Instructional Design and Technology
Students must meet the CSU requirements for admission to a master’s degree program. Please consult the Graduate Admissions section in this catalog for complete information. In addition, admission to conditional classified standing in the program includes the following:
- Minimum grade-point average of 3.0 in the last 60 semester units attempted as documented by two official copies of transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
- For international students from countries where English is not the official language, a TOEFL score of 575
- Submission of a written self-assessment essay. Students must submit a written essay on issues such as why they would be good candidates for the program, including their experience in online learning environments and curriculum development or training; time management skills, their level and types of technology skills, their technology access, ability to work independently and professional goals
- Successfully complete an interview designed to assess their level of technology knowledge, skills, abilities to be an online learner and professional goals
- Technology requirements are posted on the program website, ed.fullerton.edu/msidt
- Complete of a readiness for online learning survey tool
- Continuation and completion of the program requires registration, attendance and successful completion of the “Boot-Up Orientation” and the Midpoint Symposium (program requisites)

PSW Opportunity
Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).
Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.
Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).
STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

You must meet the following requirements:
- The minimum English language proficiency is determined by your graduate program.
- Above-average class standing at an internationally accredited college or university: the equivalent of at least a 3.0-grade point average on a 4.0 scale is recommended.
