Accountancy, M.Acc. (Taxation Concentration)

The Master of Accountancy degree (M.Acc.) is designed for individuals who desire advanced study of accountancy and seek professional careers in public accounting, industry, and government. The M.Acc. program is fully accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

The M.Acc., together with the B.B.A. degree, meet the educational requirements for Certified Public Accountants in Tennessee and all other states. Furthermore, the M.Acc. is a major step toward obtaining the credentials necessary for a teaching career in accountancy. The M.Acc. program covers financial and managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and regulation, as well as providing exposure to topics representative of the larger business environment.

PSW Opportunity

Post-Study Work visa or permit, allowing international students on F-1 visas to work in the US after completing their studies, typically through Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Eligibility:
To be eligible for OPT, students must have been enrolled full-time in a US educational institution for at least one academic year and be seeking work related to their major.

Duration:
Students can apply for up to 12 months of OPT, either before they finish their studies (pre-completion) or after graduation (post-completion).

STEM OPT:
Students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields can apply for an extended OPT period of up to 24 months.

Minimum Requirements for Admission:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of a minimum of 27 credit-hours of study in history.
At least a 3.0 grade point average in upper-level history courses.
