New Zealand Diploma in Remedial Massage (Level 6)

Remedial massage focuses on parts of the body that require rehabilitation and relief from pain and/or injury.

Designed to build upon the New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage (Level 5), this qualification will equip you to provide remedial massage therapy services to the public in allied health, wellness and medical settings that require this specialist service.

The course will develop your existing skills in massage therapy assessment, enquiry, observation and physical testing. You'll learn how to identify and interpret pathological processes on body systems and medical diagnostic testing, and you’ll go into further depth regarding the psychology of health. You’ll also apply sport-specific assessment and massage therapy techniques to identify and treat a range of sports related injuries.

PSW Opportunity

During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.
