FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY WITH FOUNDATION YEAR BSc (Hons)

This degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the Society. Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, provided the minimum standard of qualification of a second class honours is achieved, is the first step to becoming a Chartered Psychologist
You will focus on real-life criminal justice problems and explore potential solutions
We cover the latest thinking on subjects as varied as hate crime, domestic abuse and murder investigations
Fieldtrips (subject to availability and travel restrictions), to places such as, courts and prisons will give you vital insights while criminal justice professionals will share their experiences with you

The skills and tools you gain on the BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology are valuable for a wide range of careers, including the probation service, the prison service, youth justice and youth offending teams.

You could also consider roles in research and policy-making within the criminal justice system or you could pursue a career in teaching and academia.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • Students with a minimum average of 65% in the Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Examination can typically be considered for direct entrance to Bachelor degree programmes
  • Students with a minimum score of 60% in the Certificate of General Nursing and Midwifery from State Nursing Boards or Councils can be considered for entrance to the second year of a related degree programme.

English

  • Academic or UKVI IELTS no older than 2 years and must meet the requirement of the course of study.
  • Cambridge IGCSE English with Grade C
  • Completion of UK degree in the UK within the past two years.

For most of our programmes at bachelors degree level and above, you will normally need an IELTS score of between 6.0 and 7.0 with a pre-requisite minimum score in all areas. (speaking, reading, writing and listening). We will accept one of the alternative equivalent qualifications below:
