Master of Science in Business Analytics

The Master of Science (MSc) in Business Analytics will equip the learners with the techniques and analytical tools required to understand and engage with complex data with the aim of enhancing business performance. This programme has been designed to help learners gain the skills and qualifications needed to pursue a career in business analytics. Business analytics is an area where employers are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit graduates with the right qualifications and skills. There is an increasing demand for skills, but also a significant gap between current graduates’ analytical skills and employers’ needs.

By completing the MSc in Business Analytics in Singapore, learners will improve their employability skills by gaining the expertise required to analyse data, improve decision-making, enhance critical thinking and help companies gain a competitive advantage. Moreover, the programme enables learners to enhance their knowledge of core themes such as business intelligence, information systems theories and some of the related techniques, information systems strategy, digital innovation, and fundamentals of project management. PSW Opportunity

The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

AGE REQUIREMENT
22 years old

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
You must be an honours graduate of any discipline, with a minimum of a 2.2 obtained from a recognised University or hold an equivalent professional qualification acceptable to Teesside University Business School.

You must also have a minimum of two years, graduate level, full time work experience in a relevant role (eg. management / administrative / professional / supervisory capacity).

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
Students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language equivalent to IELTS 6.5.

MATURE CANDIDATE
Candidates who are at least 30 years of age with at least 8 years of working experience. To qualify as a mature candidate, you are required to submit a Personal Statement of not more than 200 words and 2 Referee Reports from at least one employer. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
