The Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice provides you with practical legal training (PLT) that you need for admission to the legal profession in Australia.
The course will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills you'll need to meet the challenges of modern real-life legal practice. Learn by doing the tasks that lawyers do in real life, with the support of staff who have practiced law as solicitors or barristers.
Get hands-on experience as part of your course with a 4-week placement in a law office.
You can start QUT's Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with two units of study left in your undergraduate law degree with the permission of the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board. Neither of these can be 'Priestley' units. Contact us to find out more about Priestley units and obtaining the Board's permission.

Gardens Point
Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane's city centre, beside the Brisbane River and adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland Parliament House. At the centre of the campus is the Old Government House which was built in 1862 and re-opened in 2009.The faculties of Business, Law, and Science and Engineering are based at this campus.

Academic entry requirements
A completed recognized bachelor degree (or higher award) with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4 (on QUT's 7 point scale) in any discipline.
India
Higher Education
- Bachelor or higher degree from a recognized Indian institution completed within five years of starting at QUT, and 65% in the High School English Core subject awarded by CISCE or CBSE.
We accept English language proficiency scores from the following tests. Tests must be taken no more than 2 years prior to the QUT course commencement.
