This film course for the digital age provides flexibility and a broad range of practical industry skills while encouraging you to develop your skills in producing, writing, editing, sound, cinematography or directing. You will learn skills used in audio-visual media, gain business and leadership skills, and knowledge of how the entertainment industry works. Regardless of your chosen specialization, this broad base of skills will make you attractive to employers, or set you up to better take control of your freelance career.

You will be industry ready for the career path you choose to pursue. You will gain experience in your specialization by working with other students to produce creative works for external clients and may have your works showcased to the industry at public screenings in your final year.

Campus Information

Gardens Point

Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane's city centre, beside the Brisbane River and adjacent to the City Botanic Gardens and Queensland Parliament House. At the centre of the campus is the Old Government House which was built in 1862 and re-opened in 2009.The faculties of Business, Law, and Science and Engineering are based at this campus.

Kelvin Grove

Kelvin Grove campus hosts the faculties of Creative Industries, Education, and Health as well as the QUT International College and the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation.
