Our physiotherapy staff contribute to the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) National Professional Standards Panel and APA's national groups, the National Allied Health Conference, Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) and the Paediatric Active Enhanced Disease Surveillance (PAEDS) network.

Quality facilities

We work in partnership with communities to provide allied health education and research. Facilities designed to simulate clinical environments found in real workplaces include a musculoskeletal clinic, hospital ward, rehabilitation gym, movement laboratory, on-campus clinics, skills laboratories and simulation facilities. Our Bachelor of Physiotherapy is fully accredited with the national accrediting body, The Australian Physiotherapy Council.

Graduate with Honours

If you achieve a grade point average of 5.0 or above across your first and second year subjects, you'll be eligible to apply for transfer to the Honours stream. If selected, you'll complete specific Honours subjects that replace standard subjects and develop your organisational, research and writing skills.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

  • Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
  • Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
  • Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
  • The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

  • Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
  • Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
  • Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
  • PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • Completion of the All India Senior School Certificates, where awarded by CBSE and metro state boards. Overall score of 60% in 4 Academic subjects:

  • A completed award with a minimum total score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate
  • Completion of two GCE A2 Levels with a minimum of 2 x D or equivalent in a minimum of two subjects, where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
  • A pass in the first division in the Pre-University Certificate.

Bangladesh

  • Completion of at least one year of study at a recognised university with passing grades or better
  • Completion of a 2 or 3 year bachelor's degree with a recognised university with passing grades or better
  • A completed award with a minimum total score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate.

Nepal

  • Higher Secondary Education Certificate plus minimum of one year of successful study at a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Higher Secondary Education Certificate with a grade average of 65%.
  • A completed award with a minimum score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate.

Sri Lanka

  • Completion of the GCE A Levels.  Overall grade in the best three subjects equalling 5/15 where A1=5, B=4, C=3, S=1
  • Completion of two GCE A2 Levels with a minimum of 2 x D or equivalent in a minimum of two subjects, where A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1
  • A completed award with a minimum score of 24 or above in the International Baccalaureate
  • Sri Lankan GCE A level plus a recognised diploma (both completed)
  • Completion of the first year of a recognised university bachelor's degree
  • Completion of recognised College or Polytechnic diploma.

Pakistan

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate plus one year of study at bachelor's degree level at a recognised institution.

You can normally meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for entry to most Charles Sturt University courses by doing one of the following:

providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English (as outlined in Group one and Group two lists below)
for undergraduate courses have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
