Undergraduate Certificate in Free Enterprise

Arkansas State University offers technical programs in which certificates of proficiency are awarded. These programs are offered for students who wish to prepare for employment in a minimum of one or two years and do not wish to pursue formal programs leading to an associate or a baccalaureate degree in the areas.

The overall goal of the Certificate in Free Enterprise is to provide students with an understanding of the interactions between the legal system, government regulation, market structures, and the economy. The program curriculum provides a balance between

  • macroeconomics
  • microeconomics
  • government/law
  • entrepreneurship

Students who complete this certificate will be prepared for roles in government and business (financial investment firms or the central banking system for example) that require knowledge and skills in economics and entrepreneurship in a free enterprise system.
