Master of Banking and Finance and Master of Commerce
The highly practical Master of Banking and Finance is designed to meet employer needs and will develop your theoretical knowledge alongside your practical capabilities. You’ll develop your knowledge and skills in the core areas of financial principles, analysis and modelling, econometrics and statistics. And you’ll have the opportunity to undertake electives in areas such as fintech, environmental finance, capital markets and business valuation.
The practical and flexible Master of Commerce builds on the knowledge and skills you’ve acquired through professional experience or undergraduate studies in commerce and business. It will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of all business functions alongside a set of well-regarded practical and transferable skills, including sustainable and ethical thinking, communication, problem solving, strategic thinking and teamwork. You’ll have the opportunity to develop new areas of expertise or advance your knowledge by completing one or two specialisations in key areas of demand.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.
- Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
- Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
- Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
- The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants
Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:
- Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
- Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
- Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
- PhD students can stay upto 4 years.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Master of Banking and Finance
- AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent or
- AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent and minimum of two years (full-time equivalent) of relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning.
Master of Commerce
- AQF level 7 bachelor qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
- AQF level 7 bachelor qualification or recognised equivalent, and two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning.
