This program recognises the diverse intersections between business, law, and politics across various disciplines, welcoming individuals eager to deepen their research and advance their careers.
As part of the BGL Executive Honours program, students gain access to an exceptional array of resources and opportunities designed to enhance their academic journey. Each student is guided by two dedicated supervisors and enjoys exclusive 24/7 access to a personal desk space on campus. The program fosters collaboration through a small, supportive cohort of peers and provides expert assistance from the Honours Program Director, who is available to guide you throughout your studies. The program’s distinctive thesis-by-publication model offers the opportunity to graduate with published work, establishing you as an emerging scholar.
In addition to academic support, the program provides paid teaching and research opportunities, postgraduate internships, and access to active research projects where students can collaborate with leading experts. Networking opportunities abound, with monthly public events in Canberra that connect you with industry and thought leaders. Tailored career development and academic mentoring through UC Careers ensure students are well-prepared for their professional futures.
The program is flexible, allowing students to study full-time or part-time and engage with its many offerings to the extent that suits their individual goals. Formal training is integrated into the program through two research methodology units, typically undertaken in the first semester. These units lay the groundwork for your research, complemented by a dynamic process of refining your ideas and academic voice through collaborative feedback with your supervisors and Program Director.
Grounded in the principles of rigorous and well-socialised research, the BGL Executive Honours Degree is designed to empower students to explore their passions, excel in their chosen fields, and make meaningful contributions to academia and beyond.
