Recent UCL Mechanical Engineering graduates have gone onto work for organisations such as Rolls Royce, SpaceX, Mercedes AMG and the Royal Navy. Others have successfully launched their own enterprises, including environmental firm Greenr, custom-fit cycle helmet company Hexr, and biomedical outfit Oxford Heartbeat.

• A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university in a suitable engineering subject or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Candidates with qualifications in other subjects will be considered. Candidates must have studied fluid dynamics while knowledge of thermodynamics and control is desirable. Applicants who are yet to complete their degree should include a list of subjects they are currently studying as well as those already completed.

FOR INDIA

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:

• A Bachelor's degree with a minimum overall CGPA of 7.5/10, 6.0/8.0, 5.5/7.0, 4.0/6.0, 3.0/4.0 or 60% where a GPA scale is not used. The overall mark required is dependent on the ranking of the institution at which the degree has been taken. FOR SRI LANKA

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:

• 4 year Bachelor's (Special) or Professional degree with Upper Second Class Honours , 60% or CGPA of 3.3/4.0
• 3 year Bachelor's (General) degree with Upper Second Class Honours, 60% or CGPA of 3.3/4.0 plus 1 year of relevant post-graduation work experience;

Alternative qualifications
- Medical / Dental / Pharmacy degree; Master's degree, Doctorate

FOR NEPAL

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:

• Master's degree with an overall average mark of 75%

Alternative qualifications
- MPhil; Doctorate

FOR BANGLADESH

The award of any of the following from a recognised institution:

• Master's degree (following a Bachelor's of at least 3 years in duration) with an overall mark of 70% or CGPA of 3.5/4.0 from a recognised institution

Alternative qualifications
- Medical degree awarded by a recognised medical school; Dental degree awarded by a recognised dental school.
