Master of Engineering (M.Eng) Cybersecurity Engineering

The student must complete 30 credits of approved coursework with an average grade of B. The coursework, which allows up to 12 credits at the 400-level, must be approved by the program's departmental faculty advisor.

All Professional Master of Engineering Programs consist of 10 courses/30 credits. All students are expected to complete a preliminary course plan for their intended degree program.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Any student applying for admission to a graduate program at the University of Maryland must meet the following minimum admission criteria as established by the Graduate School.

  • Earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution.
  • Earned a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) in all prior undergraduate and graduate coursework.
  • Provide an official copy of a transcript for all of their post-secondary work.
