BSc (Hons) Therapeutic Radiography
Graduate as a therapeutic radiographer, with the knowledge to become a skilled practitioner in cancer treatment. This dynamic program integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical experience, focusing on the principles of radiation therapy and patient care. The course emphasises a patient-centred approach, equipping graduates to effectively support individuals undergoing treatment. You will develop skills in planning and accurately delivering radiotherapy using a range of specialised technical equipment. Additionally, you will cultivate essential skills to manage the psychological, social, and emotional factors experienced by patients with cancer, as well as their families and loved ones. Most cancer patients will be treated with a range of approaches (including surgery, chemotherapy and hormone therapy) you will learn about the management of cancer from a holistic perspective. This approach takes into account how patients are diagnosed and considers their entire cancer journey, including both short- and long-term outcomes.
Campus Information
de Havilland Campus (Hatfield)
The £120-million de Havilland campus, which was built by Carillion, opened in September 2003 and is situated within 15 minutes walk of College Lane, and is built on a former British Aerospace site.This campus also houses its own Learning Resource Centre, a combined library and computer centre.[Hertfordshire Sports Village which includes a gym, swimming pool, squash courts is also on this site. The large Weston Auditiorium is present on the de Havilland campus, adjacent to the Learn Resource Centre. The auditorium has a capacity of 450 and can host talks both by university lectures for students and for guest lecturers for guests and students, music and films events and dance events.The campus also contains 11 halls of residence;

- BCC - Requires Maths A level. Other A Levels may come from a selection of either Engineering or Technology, Science, Design, Computing, or Business related subjects. General studies/critical thinking not accepted.
BTEC
- DMM - Requires Extended Diploma in Engineering (DMM) to include Distinction in Further Maths
GCSE: Grade 4/C in English, Mathematics, and Science.
Foundation
- Completion of the Standard XII Certificate with 50% or above
- IELTS 4.5 with no less than 4.0 in any band
Undergraduate (year 1)
- Completion of the Standard XII Certificate with 60-70% depending on points tariff required by the UH course. Some courses may require specific subjects
- IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band for standard courses – some courses require higher
- Standard XII English with 65% will also be accepted
Undergraduate (year 2/3)
- Depending on qualifications and course - usually require 2/3 year Diploma post-Standard XII to be considered
