Master of Science in Data Analytics
Data and the use of data in business decision making is ubiquitous. The need for data analytics is an ever-growing, increasingly important, skill set for both the current and future workforce.
The Master of Science in Data Analytics degree is a STEM-designated program that prepares students to meet ‘Big Data’ business challenges. Graduates emerge well-prepared to apply data analysis, visualization, and artificial intelligence prediction tools to create maximum value and expand market opportunities for organizations.
Along with a core data analytics curriculum, students select one area of business concentration.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Statement of Purpose
Each graduate program requires a statement of purpose. We recommend writing the statement as a Word document and uploading it to the application. Please read the instructions on the application for information related to statement requirements for your particular program of interest.
Current Resume
Please upload a current resume to your application. Music applicants will need to include a performance-based resume.
Recommendation Forms
The online application offers a “Recommendation” section that we encourage all applicants to use. By providing contact information for recommenders in this section, a recommendation form will be sent to each recommender to complete online on your behalf. You do not need to wait for the recommendations to be completed prior to submitting your application—they will be submitted directly to our office by your recommender. Separate letters of recommendation are required for the MFA in Screen Acting and Master's in Applied Behavioral Studies program.
Official Transcripts
Graduate students are required to submit official transcripts from each institution attended. To be considered official, we must receive the transcript directly from the institution (excluding International transcripts) either by mail or through electronic delivery.
All Master’s programs: TOEFL (IBT) 83, IELTS 6.5 overall with no sub-score below 6.0, PTE 53, Duolingo 105, successful completion of ELS 112 or highest proficiency level at approved language school.
No provisional Admission
Conditional Admission: Students that do not meet the English Proficiency requirements can apply for conditional admission to study intensive English at the ELS Language Center located on OCU’s campus. Students that are conditionally admitted will receive a conditional admission letter from OCU but must apply for an I-20 from ELS.
