Drama and Theatre Arts BA (Hons)

Informed by a mix of contemporary methods of performance making, current scholarly thinking and historical theatrical traditions, this course is ideal for those seeking a career in a range of arts-related areas. You will engage both creatively and critically with a range of topics including acting, performing, directing and theatre for social change, while being supported to develop your own artistic vision, personal interests and aspirations.

The course offers you the opportunity to learn about Drama in a rich variety of ways by working with professional researchers, research-active academics and visiting practitioners.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

FOR INDIA

  • Minimum of 65% average in your four best subjects (excluding Hindi) in Standard 12. We may also check your standard 10 results in English and Maths.
  • For Engineering courses, you will need a minimum of 60% in Maths. 

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

  • Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

FOR SRI LANKA

  • 55-65% in three A-levels, depending on the course you choose.

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

Entry to year 2 or 3 may be possible. You will need to supply detailed information including courses taken, grades achieved, syllabus, and a grading guide.

FOR BANGLADESH

  • A-levels or a recognized Foundation Course
  • GPA 5.0 out of 5.0 including 4.0 in English and Maths

2nd year - 3rd-year Undergraduate:

FOR NEPAL

  • A-levels or a recognised Foundation course.
  • Students with 75% and above in HSC (+2) may be considered for direct entry to an undergraduate course.
  • Some courses have additional entry criteria such as a portfolio, an audition, or require a student to have a particular qualification.

English language requirements

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide an IELTS certificate, or equivalent. Our undergraduate IELTS requirements are:

  • IELTS 6.0 for Art and Design, Business, Computing and Engineering courses
  • IELTS 6.5 for Law courses
  • IELTS 6.0-6.5 for Humanities and Media courses
  • IELTS 6.5-7.5 for Science courses
