HND Biomedical Science

This HND level course introduces you the study of a variety of Biomedical Science disciplines including microbiology, cellular pathology, immunology, haematology and genetics that will help you understand the essential role of the Biomedical Scientist and begin to build a link between diagnosis and treatment of disease.

The course takes place at an institution where your fellow students are undertaking various related programmes of study in a wide variety of medicine and Healthcare Science related subjects. As such you will mix and learn with students with a wide variety of interests and experience providing the opportunity for cross-subject interaction and learning.

Additionally the course provides the opportunity for a 6 week work placement in a hospital or research laboratory providing essential work experience and employability skills. The course is structured to allow you to develop and succeed, regardless of your academic background and experience.

The City Campus is right in the centre of Wolverhampton. It is a seven-minute walk from both the train station and St Georges Metro terminus, and a five-minute walk from the main bus station.

PSW Opportunity

2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

India

Students holding a Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Examination with an average of 50% will typically be considered for entrance to the International Foundation Year.

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is also required.

The following qualifications grant exemption from IELTS 5.5 requirements:

Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Certificate from the Central Board of Secondary Education or the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination with a minimum score of 55% in English

Standard XII/Intermediate/Higher Secondary Certificate from a State Board with a minimum score of 65% in English
