COMMUNICATION BA
Communication is one of the most versatile and adaptable majors for the job market. In this major, you’ll have the ability to focus on your interests and pursue one of three concentrations in Health Communication, Media and Journalism, or Public Relations, while also learning broader skills and concepts. Whether you want to be the creative director behind an iconic advertising campaign, a passionate spokesperson for healthcare, a news anchor, or a multimedia content creator, majoring in Communication will immerse you in various industries, teach you tools of the trade, and prepare you for a successful, multifaceted career.
You’ll have access to our modern television studio, Mac-based computer lab, and editing software in your first year to allow you to create your own content and experiment with audio, video, and designing graphics. You’ll have the opportunity to intern with local television stations, advertising agencies, nonprofit organizations, and businesses that will expand your network for future jobs. Plus, you’ll also learn from dedicated faculty with practical and academic experience in a variety of fields.

Students admitted as regular, degree-seeking candidates must have graduated from an approved secondary school (high school) or have obtained a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) by the time of their matriculation.
