Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology EDS
Earn your education specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Approved by the National Association of School Psychologists, our well-respected graduate program will prepare you to become a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
Through rigorous coursework and real-world training, you'll become a problem solver, critical thinker and effective collaborator, working to help children and youth thrive behaviorally, emotionally and academically. Courses are taught by expert faculty and licensed school psychologists, as well as those who have backgrounds in clinical psychology, counseling psychology and applied behavior analysis.
To support your professional development and cultural competence, our all-encompassing degree provides a sequence of field experiences. During the program, you'll gain real-world, professional experience by participating in a multicultural practicum, providing school psychological services in culturally diverse settings such as the Lac Du Flambeau Indian Reservation or the Milwaukee Public School District. School-based practica will give you invaluable experience with placements in both rural and urban school settings. And while working as a graduate clinician in the Human Development Center, you'll gain critical interprofessional collaboration skills.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
The preferred application deadline is June 1 for the fall semester and November 1 for the spring semester. Some programs have earlier deadlines and additional requirements. Make sure to check with your specific program for official deadlines.
What do I need to submit?
UW System application
Students applying for the Master of Science in Athletic Training should also submit the ATCAS application.
Students applying for the Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders should also submit the CSDCAS application.
Pay $56.00 application fee online at time of application submission, or log back into your application to pay the fee.
Evidence of English proficiency. A TOEFL score of 79 iBT or an IELTS score of 7.0 - See approved scores and ESL programs
Financial Statement form and an original bank statement or letter from the bank of your sponsor
Records from the university where you received your bachelor's degree. If any graduate coursework was completed, those records are also required
Official records
They must be in the original language with certified English translation showing courses taken and grades assigned each year. Official records should include all exam or test results and certificates, diplomas or degrees received. Photocopies of official foreign records are acceptable if they have been certified by an authorized university, government or public official after they are made.
