Master of Laws
The Master of Laws (coursework) is a Masters of Law degree with a focus on emerging commercial and legal realities in an international context. The degree will enable students to develop in-depth legal knowledge and skills in the areas of international law that they choose. The program also aims to develop a student’s skills in advanced independent research and writing, critical analysis, complex problem-solving and reasoning. The program includes a research component with a strong focus on applied legal research.

This program has a focus on international law and, with the globalisation of the legal profession, it is useful to develop a strong understanding of international law and of the practice of law in other jurisdictions.
The electives on offer may include: Asia-Europe Trade Law, International Business Law and Dispute Resolution, International Cultural Heritage Law, International Business Law in Practice, International Taxation Law, International Transport Law, Issues in International Law and Contemporary Culture, International Environmental Law, The Legal Environment of the Asia- Pacific Region, The Philosophy of International Law, International Human Rights Law, International Perspectives on Bioethics and the Law, Law & Religion, and Canon Law.

Our Sydney Campus is based across two sites – Broadway and Darlinghurst – both located in the vibrant social hub of the harbour city. The Broadway site is at the heart of Sydney’s uni precinct, a short walk from Central Station and close to Darling Harbour. Darlinghurst is situated to the east of the CBD, nestled in Sydney’s shopping and cafe district.

PSW Opportunity
Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane:
Regular 2 years post study work visa for international students completing Bachelors and Masters degrees (minimum 92 weeks), 3 years for Masters by Research and 4 years for PhD. graduates
Other Locations (Regional centres and other regional areas):
International students studying at regional universities will be eligible to access an additional
2 years in Australia on a post-study work visa
(Which means a Bachelors or Masters graduate can get up to 4 years of PSW visa)
