The Computer Information Systems (CIS) curriculum prepares students for careers by stressing the application and use of information technology in the business environment. The CIS curriculum provides learning experiences in systems analysis, design, and implementation; project management; e-commerce; telecommunications; networking; databases; programming; and interpersonal communication. As the increase in the use of technology in business continues, growth is predicted in the demand for people with these skills.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

OUT-OF-STATE AND HOME-SCHOOLED STUDENTS must meet the following requirements:
 
One of the following:
ACT/SAT: ACT composite of at least 26 or SAT of 1240 with a minimum Core GPA of 2.0
ACT/SAT and HS Core GPA: ACT composite of at least 23 or SAT of 1130 AND HS GPA on at least 17 credits of the Core of at least 2.5
Meet In-State Requirements: See above.
NO Developmental Courses Needed: Minimum ACT subscore of 18 in English and 19 in Math OR minimum SAT subscore of 500 in English (ERW) and 510 in Math (Students meeting minimum admission standards except for the need for developmental courses must complete developmental courses at an institution that offers them during the summer in order to be admitted for the fall.)
