Social Work (B.S.W.)
In this fully accredited program, you’ll learn first-hand how to collaborate with and advocate for marginalized populations, developing a strong foundation of clinical, social justice and research knowledge, critical thinking, and social action. Explore a range of contemporary social work issues and frameworks in the general years (years one and two), making connections across a variety of disciplines. If you apply and are successful in being admitted to the professional years (years three and four) of the program, you will focus almost exclusively on social work theory and practice, while completing a minimum 700 hours of hands-on work in the field through supervised placements. Through Social Work at Trent, you will graduate qualified for a successful career as a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
