MSc Sport Performance Analysis
Develop the expertise to excel as a performance analyst. Using a scientific approach to assessing stakeholders’ needs, you’ll communicate your recommendations to inform practice.
This master’s-level course will prepare you for working as a performance analyst.
As part of this course, you’ll:
- Understand and critically evaluate the insights and limitations of using analysis of sport performance in a range of contexts
- Use your expertise to inform short, medium, and long-term optimisation strategies
- Practise using specialist equipment and technology, including digital applications
- Learn how to assess the needs and requirements of stakeholders and understand how to personalise your practice to meet their needs
- Adopt a scientific, evidence-informed approach to solving performance analysis issues as you reflect on both traditional and contemporary approaches to research, theory, and practice
- Collect, analyse, and evaluate empirical data to produce verifiable conclusions and make practical recommendations
- Understand how research paradigms, methodologies, and techniques generate different kinds of knowledge, and be able to apply your research skills in the study of performance analysis.

- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Sport & Exercise Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Biomechanics, Physiotherapy, Physical Education, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Dietetics, Nutrition, Medicine or Sports Therapy, at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
