PSW Opportunity

Eligibility for Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP):
Graduated from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada.
Desire to stay in Canada temporarily for work.

Important Note:
Graduating from a DLI doesn't automatically qualify you for a PGWP.

Validity of PGWP:
Depends on the length of the study program or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.

Duration of PGWP Based on Study Program Length:
Less than 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials): Not eligible for PGWP.
At least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials), but less than 2 years: PGWP may be granted for the same length as the study program (e.g., a 9-month program results in a 9-month PGWP).
2 years or more: PGWP may be valid for 3 years.

Completion of Multiple Programs:
PGWP may combine the lengths of each program if:
Each program is PGWP eligible.
Each program is at least 8 months (or 900 hours for Quebec credentials) in length.

Important Restriction:
You cannot obtain a PGWP if you already had one after completing an earlier program of study

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

International Students
International admission for Management is based on meeting the following three criteria:

Appropriate Secondary School Qualification.
Graduation from a secondary high school program that would normally make you admissible to a university in your home country.Please check the qualifications by country list
Five program-specific admission subjects with a minimum overall admission average of 65%
English Language Arts
Mathematics (Algebra)
Three subjects from History, Languages other than English, Fine Arts, Sciences, and /or other subjects. A maximum of one Fine Arts course and a maximum of one other subject may be used for admission.All subjects presented for admission must be from distinct subject areas.

Applicants studying in Canada on a study permit (student visa) must normally present a satisfactory score on one of the following approved English Language proficiency examinations, taken within the last two years, as described below:
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT (internet-based test) score of 80 or PBT (paper-based test) score of 550. We do not accept MyBest Scores for admission purposes. When requesting official TOEFL test scores to be sent to Concordia University of Edmonton, students should indicate Concordia University of Edmonton’s institution code, 0916.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System), ACADEMIC. The minimum satisfactory score is 6.0 with no band below 5.5.
MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery). The minimum satisfactory score is 80.
CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment). The minimum satisfactory score is 60 with scores of at least 50 in Listening, Reading and Speaking, and 60 or higher in Writing. 
CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark). The minimum satisfactory score is 6.
Pearson Test of English (Academic). The minimum satisfactory score is 54. 
Successful completion of Pathway III offered through International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC). The Pathway III Program is not accepted for admission to the Bachelor of Education After Degree.
Cambridge English Language Assessment C1 Advanced (formerly known as CAE – Certificate in Advanced English, or Cambridge English: Advanced) and C2 Proficiency (formerly known as CPE – Certificate of Proficiency in English or Cambridge English: Proficiency). The minimum satisfactory score is 175 with no band lower than 165.
