The B.B.A. offers the most in-depth approach to business studies. B.B.A. students can also choose among seven concentrations and among six minors to develop complementary knowledge and competencies.
B.B.A. Human Resources Concentration
There is growing recognition that the quality of an organization’s human resources plays a strategic role in an ever-changing business environment. With organizations facing the need for continuous change in a competitive environment they must, more than ever, begin to rely on the knowledge, skills and abilities of their workforce to confront such challenges. Through courses such as Compensation Management, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Training and Development, Occupational Health and Safety and Organizational Behaviour, students will learn how to ensure that the Human Resource goals of attracting, developing and maintaining a competitive workforce are accomplished. Students completing this concentration stream may want to discuss with faculty the course options for certification as a Human Resource professional.

If your program was less than 8 months
- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements should be used as a guideline to be considered competitive for admissions consideration. Each admission cycle, Bishop’s University receives more applications than spaces available. Meeting the minimum posted requirements does not guarantee admission. Applicants who do not meet the posted requirements may be considered on an individual basis. In those cases, the Admissions Office may request additional information in addition to that indicated below.
- Normally have completed 12 years of formal schooling and received a secondary school credential that would permit you access to university in that country. If you are studying at or have graduated from secondary school in a country where secondary school finishes after only 11 years of formal schooling your application will be evaluated on an individual basis.
- Minimum average required varies depending upon curriculum followed; transcripts are reviewed on an individual basis.
- If your mother tongue is not English and you have not studied for at least three full years in English, you must submit TOEFL, IELTS, MELAB, or Cambridge Certificate (CPE or CAE) results.
- Course Requirements: Grade 11 level Mathematics.
