The course consists of four (4) core subjects, 32 points of restricted elective subjects, a four (4) subject specialisation, plus 32 points of professional practice subjects.
Students enrolled at Charles Sturt University Sydney will complete structured work integrated learning activities as part of their program of study. The opportunity to undertake work placement may be available for students contingent on satisfactory progression and grades

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A completed Bachelor degree or higher from a recognised Australian tertiary institution (or equivalent). Applicants without an equivalent tertiary qualification will be admitted via Graduate Diploma in Professional Information Technology pathway. For admission to the Graduate Diploma, applicants are required to have a minimum of a 3 years tertiary qualification equivalent to an Associate Degree. Upon successful completion of the Graduate Diploma, students will then be eligible for admission to the Master of Professional Information Technology and receive credit for applicable subjects.
You can normally meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for entry to most Charles Sturt University courses by doing one of the following:
providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English
for undergraduate courses have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
a minimum overall score of 6.0
no individual score below 5.5
for postgraduate coursework courses have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
a minimum overall score of 6.0
no individual score below 6.0
for higher degree by research courses have obtained at Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
a minimum overall score of 6.5
no individual score below 6.0
obtaining a qualification deemed to be equivalent to Academic IELTS (and its minimum scores) by Charles Sturt.
