BSc in Applied Physics
Physics is concerned with describing and predicting natural phenomena. Applied physics is concerned with applying physics in technical solutions. Design and construction are important aspects of this.
Applied physics is at the heart of society. It forms the basis for many of the products we use in daily life. The programme has a strong interdisciplinary orientation, with an emphasis on combinations of subjects: physics with design studies, nanotechnology, new materials and systems and control engineering
Applied physics involves studying not only how phenomena come about, but also how to use them for technical solutions. The programme focuses on theory and practice.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- On top of providing the Admissions Board with transcripts and diplomas, students should have an equivalent minimum GPA (Grade Point Average) of 7/10 (Dutch grading scale).
- basic knowledge of private law and elementary knowledge of European Law and public international law
English-taught Bachelor’s programmes
Proficiency in English is an admission requirement for all English-taught degree programmes. You will need to submit proof of your proficiency in English as part of the application process.
You may apply for a degree programme while you have not yet taken an English test or while your test score is still insufficient. Should you be admitted, then your admission will be conditional, with (one of) the condition(s) for final admission being that you take and pass a (new) test.
