Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration Management (Nursing Leadership Stream)

To effectively manage in the health care sector, it is important to have a solid understanding of the practical techniques required of a manager to support administrative and clinical operations and stakeholders. This program is designed to meet the needs of people who have completed a nursing program and who wish to pursue leadership, management, or administrative roles within healthcare. This program will help you develop project management skills, practical communication techniques, and continuous improvement acumen in order to support operational efficiencies and effectiveness. Through theoretical and practical courses, you will be exposed to real-life situations that arise in the workplace and gain a strong set of practical tools, techniques, and practices to help you contribute to organizational success. You will work individually and in groups developing your knowledge of health care management practices and focus on applying practical frameworks and models to help inform management practices.

This program provides specialized training but does not qualify you to work as a nurse in the province. To acquire the essential nursing knowledge and skills required to practice within the Canadian healthcare system, please see Conestoga's Enhanced Practice for Internationally Educated Nurses program.
